A first glimpse only shows the wrinkles of her skin and the grays of her. Possibility of age and the tanned hide of too much wear. Her shirt, cut in such a manner reveals the lower half of her abdomen. Her shorts are torn and crumpled, her legs are scratched and her legs are bleeding. She possesses an outlying look of maturity, however far away. A first glimpse only shows what one can perceive about her. It gives nothing to the true disposition of her being. When the work of the day is finished an entirely different character arises within her. Her words slur from- low tolerance and avid consumption- of alcoholic beverages that make her body sway as she cooks the same supper again. Mom makes rice and chicken. Cabbage, rice, and chicken. Mom makes rice and chicken. Always rice an chicken.
Mom makes rice and chicken. Cabbage, rice, and chicken. Mom makes rice and chicken. Always rice an chicken x 4. Her eyes become droopy, lids too heavy to hold up. She speaks as she cooks but her contemplations and queries become repetitive day after day. She becomes aggravating and adolescent, a nuisance to deal with and an irritation to be around. A first glimpse never shows that often times she is far too much to handle.
